Comment ce TOP est-il élaboré ? Sont éligibles les albums de nouveautés (c’est-à-dire commercialisés depuis moins de trois ans) des répertoires Rock et Metal, renseignés comme tel par le distributeur physique ou, à défaut, le distributeur numérique. Ce classement tient compte des ventes de supports (CD, vinyles, etc.) ainsi que des exploitations numériques audio et vidéo (streaming premium, streaming freemium et téléchargement) selon les paramètres définis par la profession et retranscrits dans les règles du top élaborées par le SNEP.
